The winged Greek Goddess of Victory
Nike was in ancient Greek religion the goddess of victory. She was the daughter of the giant Pallas and of the infernal River Styx.

Sculptures of Nike were extremely common in Ancient Greece.
They were used both in secular public spaces as well as in the temples of other gods.
Nike is seen with wings in most statues and paintings.
